The Xbox360 Akihabara Store Sell Out

August 14, 2008

Remember when Japanese people lined up for Xbox 360 RPG Tales of Vesperia? That was pretty kooky! Kookier even still is that the console is sold out at gianormous retailers like Yodobashi Camera in Tokyo’s Akihabara. Above is a picture of the retailer from spring. According to CheapAssGamer’s CheapyD, who spotted this sell out:

Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara is not just a big electronics store in Tokyo, it is one of the (if not the largest) electronics stores in the world. I was there earlier this week and was pretty suprised to see that they had sold out of all versions of the Xbox 360 consoles. Looks like the Japanese have got Tales of Vesperia fever, which was recently released over here.

Might be that or just an Akihabara thing — or it could be that stores are making space for the 60GB SKU. Read more of our previous and thrilling Xbox 360 Japan shortage coverage here. Hit the jump for Cheapy’s photographic evidence!

[Tutorial] Mengubah Vertical Stand Cooler w/ Adaptor (No USB again) jadi lbh dingin!!

August 14, 2008

Credit: nerazinter

here we go..
nih tutorial cara modif vertical stand cooler yg awalnya anginnya sepoi2 krn make USB hub
aslinya kek gini

so skr fan lama yg make USB ga kepake.. gw lepas.. jadi uda ga bisa switch on off di vertical standnya,, gantinya langsung colok adaptornya deh ke listrik nyaallaaa
anginnya lebih kencenggggg

FFXIII on 360 not heading to Asia

August 14, 2008

Previous reports of a Taiwanese release are rubbished as Microsoft falls back to E3 stance
It appears that Square Enix’s colossally hyped Final Fantasy XIII won’t be receiving an Asian territory release on Xbox 360 after all – despite claims at a recent Taiwanese press conference to the contrary.

Having announced at E3 that Final Fantasy XIII would be released on Xbox 360 in Europe and America only, the hopes of a possible Japanese release had appeared to have been bolstered by the Taiwanese news.

However, Kotaku quotes Microsoft Taiwan as now saying: “At E3 2008, it was announced that Final Fantasy XIII will be available for Xbox 360 platform in North America and Europe.
There is no plan to launch the game in Taiwan. We regret any confusion caused by this.”

Microsoft has also subsequently added: “There’s really no more to say than that as announced at E3. Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360 is scheduled for release in North America and Europe. There are no plans to release the game in any other region, including Asia.”
